Dão Wine

The Dão Demarcated Region was established in 1908, located in central Portugal, in the province of Beira Alta. It was the first demarcated region of non-liqueur wines in the country. The Dão region is known as the Portuguese Burgundy

In this region, the second to be demarcated in Portugal, in 1908, you will find a great diversity of varieties, such as Alfrocheiro, Bastardo or Touriga Nacional, in terms of red varieties, or Barcelo, Encruzado or Terrantez, in the white varieties.

This diversity, combined with the region's soil and climate factors, the production techniques employed and the knowledge of its people, results in a high quality wine and appreciated throughout the country.
