Portugueses Port Wine

Port Wine is a natural and fortified wine, produced exclusively from grapes from the Douro Demarcated Region, in northern Portugal, about 100 km east of Porto.

It is a liqueur wine, produced under peculiar conditions derived from natural and human factors. The manufacturing process, based on tradition, includes stopping the fermentation of must by the addition of brandy (benefit or fortification), wine blending and aging.

Port wines can be divided into different categories depending on the type of aging. Ruby Style, Tawny Style, White and Rosé.
